Meaning in the Name

Okay. So you have made it to my first-ever blog. Congratulations!!!
To me that is. I must have figured something correctly that you are actually reading this sentence...

So I'm guessing you might be wondering how Charlie, Lob and Rosabella found their places in the title of our blog. While driving to Lowes to buy wood for our weekend project, husband and I began to chat about possible blog names. Meanwhile, in the back of the car, the girls were chatting on and on, each about her own family. You see, Biggest Sister has been "married" to Lob for over a year and a half now. Although, the way she tells it, it's been 100 years. Rosabella joined the crew mid-December. She has come up as friend, daughter, and sometimes a cat or a horse. Up until Littlest Sister was born, Big Sister simply joined in on Biggest Sister's, Lob, and Rosabella's fun...until one day we discovered she was "married" to Charlie. He's been her side-kick ever since. Well, these truly remarkable "friends" have become a rich part of our family life. We laugh with them, we sympathize with them in their struggles, we learn from them, and often use them as teaching examples. They are included in much of the fabric of our daily lives these days and I love every stinkin' minute of it! The things these kids of mine think up!!! I can't wait to hear the tiny whisper of conversation between Brother and Littlest Sister and their beloved imaginary friends...whose names we'll proudly add to our title as well. ;)

So as we enter into our first year of homeschooling, which is another entire post altogether, husband and I talk often about goals we have for our family life this year. It's difficult to put hours and hours of conversation into a few short lines... Let's just say we could think of no better way than to begin with a bit of the imaginary. Imagination knows no bounds. That's kind of what this new beginning feels like for us... the possibilities are truly endless. God be the glory.
